Ann Jerkins-Harris Academy of Excellence was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that every child in Toledo deserves access to a high-quality, nurturing education. From its earliest days, AJHAE has been shaped by the voices of families, educators, and community leaders who refused to accept anything less than excellence for the children of our community.
As a K–8 public community school, AJHAE offers a tuition-free education that combines rigorous academics with a deep commitment to the social and emotional growth of every student. We are proud to serve the families of Toledo and to be a place where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Ann Jerkins-Harris believed deeply in the potential of children and the power of education to transform lives. Her vision was rooted in creating opportunities for students to learn, grow and achieve in an environment where they were supported, encouraged and expected to succeed.
Her commitment to children, families and the Toledo community laid the foundation for the school that proudly carries her name today.
